What is shared ride service?

It means that you will be riding in the bus along with others and they may be picked up or dropped off before your destination.

How do I schedule a shared ride?

Call the office Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM before 12 PM on the previous business day.

How do I apply for services or programs?

You need to fill out an application for our programs. Please click here to download an application.

New County Line A & B Routes

April 15, 2019

The County Line A & B schedule is now available to view. Both routes will start on Monday, April 29th and will take the place of the current County Line bus route.

Introducing the newest & easiest way to pay your Freedom Transit fare: Token Transit

August 1, 2018

Token Transit is a mobile ticketing app that allows to buy & load your Freedom Transit bus passes right on your smart phone. Token Transit is available on any smart phone device and can be downloaded from the app store.

With the two new fare payment systems, ConnectCard and Token Transit, Freedom Transit paper tickets will no longer be sold after August 31st, 2018. The last day to use any outstanding paper tickets will be December 31st 2018. Read more >


Transit Development Plan

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC), in partnership with the Washington County Transportation Authority (Freedom Transit) and Washington County, has developed a draft plan for the future of public transit in the county.
