What is shared ride service?

It means that you will be riding in the bus along with others and they may be picked up or dropped off before your destination.

How do I schedule a shared ride?

Call the office Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM before 12 PM on the previous business day.

How do I apply for services or programs?

Road Closure for Pittsburgh Marathon

May 3, 2017

Friday, May 5, 2017, starting at 12:00 PM, Boulevard of the Allies will be closed between Stanwix Street and Wood Street. This is to allow set up for the Pittsburgh Marathon this weekend. The only Inbound Metro stop affected by this detour will be the stop at Blvd of the Allies and Wood Street. Any Inbound passengers wishing to go to that designated stop need to exit the bus at Smithfield Street at or near Blvd. of the Allies, approximately one block away from the designated inbound stop. Freedom Transit Connects with New Destinations

September 30, 2016

Freedom Transit can now connect you in Washington, PA with trips to the Pittsburgh Airport, Waynesburg, PA and Morgantown, WV. A connection can be made with Mountain Line Transit at the Beau St. Park & Ride. Beginning Monday October 3rd, the service to Pittsburgh will leave Morgantown; stop at Waynesburg PA, Washington PA and on to Pittsburgh Airport and Pittsburgh Greyhound. Arrival times in Washington will be at 9:05 AM northbound and 11:05 AM southbound on the morning trip. On the evening trip it will arrive at 6:35 PM northbound and 9:45 PM southbound. The bus will service the Park & Ride on East Beau Street. Complete schedules, fares and additional details for these new services can be found at www.ridegreyline.org or by calling 304-296-3869.
